West Indies defeated the
host- Srilanka, to become the World Champion after 33 years.
Chasing
a below par target, 1996 champions didn’t get going & lost wickets
frequently & eventually end up disappointing the massive crowd. They will
now have to wait for at least two years to get another major title under their
belt for which their wait is now 16 years old.
